Eco-Indie
Sure, I know all about Cutting Emissions. They played with Going Green and Coughing Planet back in ‘94, right?
Yeah, I was at that concert. Outdoor gig, wasn’t it? Free show in the park? I was totally a huge fan until they all sold out.
Well, yeah, dude. Back a couple decades ago, no one was interested in those bands. Now everyone’s trying to be like them. Recycling Bin is nothing but a rip-off Reduce/Reuse if you really think about it. And now there’s all these great big events and festivals, so now all the hipsters listen to Earth Rock or Tree-Hop or whatever deviation of genre they’ve come up with nowadays. Me? I was totally into all this stuff way before it was cool. Totally.
See? I’ve even got a Green Microsoft Zune 4GB Digital Media Player. I could have gotten the Black or Pink, sure, but I choose the Green one as a way of representing the scene, man. I’ve got all the best tunes and videos from back before all those bands hit the big time stored right here. I can even wirelessly stream my stored media to my Xbox 360 when I’m just chillin’ at home. Maybe I’ll even share a few tracks with you via wireless Zune-to-Zune sharing so you can have a taste of what it was like back in the day. Oh, that’s right. You don’t have a Zune. You’ve got one of those iFads. You would be mainstream like that, wouldn’t you?
Well, of course, I’m going to do my part on 10:10:10, dude. Someone has got to keep things old school, you know?
